just had an engine built for my 72 pre L. 427 stroker with right at 600 hp 580 ft lbs. was wondering about the fuel pump. don't know if i want to go with an electric fuel pump or not simply because i've never fooled with one. seems kind of a hassel with the regulator, mounting it etc. found a killer holley manual fuel pump at summit racing. ffr of 170 gph @ 7.5 psi. i guess my question is will this manual pump do the job......almost forgot, the carb is a demon 750 king. hope this is enough info.
thanks,

A number of people have reported problems with the Holley pumps.

The generally accepted best manual pump you can get is from RobbMc, they have 550HP and 1100HP versions. I suspect in reality you'd be oaky with the 550HP version, unless you really intend to spend a lot of time at WOT.

thanks julian, i appreciate your help. just joined this forum yesterday and was not sure how to navigate thru because i've never been on a forum period. kinda messed up on the first question i asked because george pence told me i chose the wrong topic for that question and helped me out with a few pointers to make things easier. he was kind enough to place it under the right topic. well i'll be damned if i did not do the same thing with this question because when i looked to see if anyone had responded i noticed it had been moved also. oh well, sorry about that guys i'll try harder and pay closer attention next time.
thanks again,
rodman
