Well, the weather finally turned, just around noon on Saturday. Will (4NHOTROD) had already taken a flyer and brought his new beast to town on a trailer. And so Mark C drove in just in time for us to all head into Little Italy where we had been invited to take part in their Grand Prix celebrations.

We had the best spot on the strip - the organizer who had invited us was named Gian Carlo Di Tommaso. No kidding!

We met Denis with his just completed GTS. Several other owners dropped by, including Michel, Romano and Robert, unfortunately without their cars. The pizza, wine, capuccinos and hot babes were typical of Montreal summer fun. The locals, being Italian and Grand Prix fans, knew exactly what these cars were, unlike the usual crowds we get when we travel. The organizers begged us to stay for the night, when the party really gets wild. But after a few hours and 10 espressos each we were anxious to hit the road. Just so we didn't disappoint anyone, as we left, Carmen left most of his rear tires behind. I could smell it for block and hear it from about a mile away.

Later that evening, I fired up the BBQ and everyone dropped by my house for some food and booze. As the wives departed to discuss more important issues, we got into the details of our upcoming Rocky Mountain Tour . We leave in 6 weeks! Lots to do before we go.

It was a great time. Thanks to all for attending at the last minute.

Great pictures David, I'm glad to hear the weather reports were all wrong and you guys had a great weekend to enjoy after all!

The cars look awesome, I thought mine was looking pretty good, but now I see I'm gonna have to get out and put some more elbow grease into it before I show my face around you guys
Yeah, it was a fun time. Considering it almost didn't happen at all thanks to the weather, the turnout was pretty good. Here are some of my pics.

Meeting up in north Montreal. I had just finished replacing my entire cooling system (the night before) and figured what better way to test it than a trip to Montreal in about 2/3 the time it would normally take me. Wink

Thankfully David allowed me to leak coolant all over his nice garage as I retightened some clamps after my high-speed testing. This sight brought back memories for him of when he used to own two Panteras (his '73 was also white) and see this sight every day.

All in all a great, but all too short visit.

Mark
