To all interested parties.

at the moment we are in negotiations with some prospective customers who want to take the whole package. We do not want to disclose individual prices until the final decision.

Now we sell the spare parts individually, but there is a small problem.
Customs processing and shipping outside the EU is very very complicated.
All shipments above € 1000,00 must be handled through separate customs forms and a customs Agency.
These costs are only worthwhile if the value of goods is relatively high.

@LeeA....I will get back too you soon

@SciFi
www.springbok.de this is us.
25 years in business with youngtimers, collector cars and historic motorsport.
We buy cars and sometimes the pre owner has a lot of parts.
We buy from collectors and mostly we sell to collectors.

The car on the profile picture is the car we had bought together with the spare parts package. The pre owner has bought all these parts from De Tomaso in 41100 Modena / Italy in 1990. These parts was the last available Mangusta parts. We have all the invoices!!!

Maybe your hobby is burglary ;-)
If not, and you wish to buy the package, I can send you the original invoices.
If yes, we have a big Dog and a security system, so be careful. :-D
I am not accusing you of selling stolen property. My apologies if that seemed like the suggestion. Of course There would be speculation on the origin of such a rare collection, especially when those details were not provided initially.

Burglary is not my hobby. Although if it were, de tomaso parts would be at the top of my list Smiler
Hello Springbok,
I also am interested in some items - are you further progressed with the total sale, or will you consider a part sale in the meantime perhaps?

Maybe we can sell some smaller/cheaper parts seperatly. Price limit per shipment is 1000,00 € If the price is higher, the Customs clearance is only possible via a freight forwarder. We don´t have the time and staff for this procedere. Sorry. That´s why we can´t sell the parts seperatly. If someone needs parts that could fit in price, then send me a pn and I check if it is possible.

Please be patient, I´m mostly very busy. :-)

Sprinkbok,

Some observations.
First, showing parts wrapped up isn't the best way to sell......I'm sure this can be understood.
That said, you need to unwrap the RH rear hatch cover and check it for damage! It looks like it was crushed...note that shape is a bit more "flat" than the left side part!

When you were there in 1990, you didn't get them all! I was there in 1996, and there wasn't much left, but the factory had no problem selling me used parts...ugh....as new! But I came away with some pieces that I did use on my car!!!

Some other notes....
Your lower front A-arms are likely late model pieces. I bought two of these and they are set up for late model (probably Koni) shocks. You can see where your shock pair, has what appears to be wider bushings in them. Bolt hole may be larger than most early cars also. Same dimensions as Pantera shocks!??

Interesting to see another brand of shocks was used! Ariston What is interesting is the factory didn't figure out if they were front or rear....so labeled them one of each! I think they are front but (cracking) rubber damper at top looks like the one used on rears......no way to tell without dimensions!

Jackshaft and Idler Bearings-sealed type....Throw them away if they are not rubber seal bearings, they will exhaust the internal grease and blow up....don't ask how I know this!!!!! One of these cheap assed jackshaft bearings had me changing it in the parking lot of a casino in Las Vegas.......that was an adventure!

Unibal Joints: Check these for proper thread pitch! Factory sold me fine thread versions that fit nothing in the car........ Thankfully I only bought two of the type...

Carburetor: 1967 production piece, likely a 550cfm for Comet/Fairlane Unable to find the #3115 list number anywhere! It is an "aftermarket" version of the carb, not OEM.

Distributor, as noted, 65 Comet/Fairlane 2V.

Carb and distributor are not worth shipping to anyone unless someone needs used spare parts. In my opinion.

Lugnuts: boy, I would give someones left nut for a set of these!!! Smiler

Water pump pulley: That is a 351C pulley 1970 or later. There should be a number stamped into it. Not a Mangusta part, and it will not work with stock pulleys due to different offset that began in 1970! Scrap it.

Hope you don't mind my thoughts!
Ciao!
Steve
Hi Steve,

many thanks for all these informations. :-)

@all: we are not a De Tomaso or Mangusta specialist. So interested parties have to check the parts by yourself if it fits or are a orignal mangusta part.

Of course, wraped parts is not a good idea, if someone want to check the condition, but the original factory seal is maybe also important. That´s why we have decided, that we don´t touch the seals until a buyer is found :-)

If any is really interested and ready to buy, we unwrap the parts, send all needed pictures and checking the condition.

Sorry for the big delay, I was 5 weeks in China.

Best Regards,

Frank
