IN MY OPINION: THE YELLOW 72 IS THE LESSER CAR, SHOWING MUCH MORE USE AND WEAR. AND OFFERING MUCH LESS DESIREABLE EMENITIES. NOW TO THE 73 SILVER! WOW! IT IS THE LITTLE DETAILS THAT TELL THE BIG STORY!! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE OF ORIGINALITY!! THE ENGINE AND COMPARTMENT IS EMACULATE,AND IS PURE ORIGINAL EXCEPT MAYBE FOR THE VALVE COVERS. EVEN THE TUB FELT LOOKS NEW/NEAR PERFECT. THE ORIGINAL PAINT ON THE DIPSTICK HANDLE IS STILL SHINY! THE UNDERSIDE OF THE TRANSAXLE DOES NOT EVEN HAVE ANY DIRT ON IT YET! THE INTERIOR LOOKS TO BE JUST ABOUT CHERRY, EVERYTHING SHINES, THE DRIVERS SEAT SHOWS NO WEAR, AND YOU EVEN GET THAT WONDERFUL SINGLE POD FOR THE SPEEDO AND TACH, OF WHICH THE CHROME BEZELS HAVE NOT BEEN EFFECTED BY POLUTION YET. THE TRUNK FELT IS PERFECT AND LOOKS LIKE IT DID WHEN IT SAT IN THE SHOWROOM. THE MASTER CYLINDERS LOOK BRAND NEW. NOT ONLY IS THE TOOL KIT PRESENT BUT IT TOO LOOKS BRAND NEW. I SEE NO DENTS THAT THE PICTURES TESTIFY TO, AND ALL BODY PANELS LOOK TO ALIGN VERY WELL. ALTHOUGH THERE ARE CHIPS TO THE EDGE OF THE REAR TRUNK LIP. AND THE ROOF OVER THE DRIVERS WINDOW, THE SILVER PAINT LOOKS TO BE STARTING TO OXIDIZE. THE PAINT ALL ELSEWHERE LOOKS GOOD WELL WAXED AND CARED FOR, AND I SEE NO OTHER CHIPS OR SCRATCHES AT ALL!! I DO BELIEVE THAT THIS CAR HAS NEVER SEEN RAIN! THIS CAR IS AN ABSOLUTE "TIME MACHINE". I PLACE A VALUE ON IT OF $28,000 TO $35,000. AS IT SITS, WITH THE PAINT FIXED COULD TAKE A TROPHY FOR MOST ORIGINAL CAR OF SHOW. IF I DID NOT ALREADY OWN TWO, MY BID WOULD BE AT OR NEAR $32,000. THE AUCTION ENDS IN LESS THAN TEN HOURS, SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? GOOD-LUCK, AND ALL THE BEST, MARLIN.
Hmmmm, all the recent chatter on the forum about Pantera prices, and these three can't get out of the mid '20's. Marlin, thanks for the comment on the Portland car, the auction ended before I could get back to it. Anyone know if it sold, what price, below reserve??
Michael (always hopeful for an affordable ride) in Seattle
