I recently replaced the electronic ignition (Mallory) that was in my car. After installing the new ignition I noticed that the tachometer was no longer working. There was a wire connected to one of the terminals of the old coil but I don't remember which one it was as I figured it was utilized by the old ignition system. The previous owner had cut numerous wires and twisted together or just left them hanging in the coil area. As I can't stand things that are done that way I cleaned up the wiring mess while I was installing the new ignition. Naturally, one of those wires was the tach wire and am not sure how to determine which one it is. Can someone tell me how to determine which wire is the tach wire?
