Two owner 1973 De Tomaso Pantera L #5645, very clean car that was meticulously restored and upgraded over a ten year period.

Original rust-free vehicle was completely stripped to bare metal and painted a candy brandy wine red lacquer with a gold base. The paint has held up so good you would almost think it was a fresh restoration.

Mechanically, it has a strong Ford 351 Cleveland with Edelbrock manifold and Holley carburetor, exiting through Hall big bore exhaust. Later 5-speed ZF transaxle with effortless clutch and smooth easy shifting makes this is one the nicest Pantera’s I have driven. All electrical components work the way they should, including wipers, A/C etc.

Some of the upgrade items installed during restoration (mostly Hall Pantera):

Engine Bay
• Stainless steel fire wall
• Stainless steel o/flow & pressure tanks
• Billet aluminum support bar
• Aft wheel well oil cooler
• MSD ignition
• Holley Dogbone style air cleaner
• 10 quart oil pan
• Rotary A/C compressor and new hoses
• Electric fuel pump & braided lines

Interior
• New seat belts with logos
• LeCarra leather-wrapped steering wheel
• New headliner
• New Speedo & Tach faces
• VDO center console gauges

Body
• Colt dual electric mirrors
• Upgraded Vader Rectangular lights
• Sphere ball ends on sway bars
• Rebuilt Koni shocks
• Hall Super Stopper brake kit & e-brake
• Front upper A-arms braces
• Poly bushings all round
• Hall jacking point kit

Tires are BF Goodrich tires with less than 1,000 miles on original Campagnolo two slot polished wheels. Has the original space save spare and leather tool kit (not sure if it is complete)

Alpine radio cassette with amplifier (behind passenger seat) provides good quality sound if you ever get tired of the Cleveland symphony.

This Pantera has passed both California and Nevada smog for its entire life. The vehicle has a clean California title (original style CA pink slip)

The vehicle has been maintained in the dry Northern Nevada desert air for the past six years. It has always been garaged and has never been driven in the rain.

I uploaded a bunch of photos to a POCA album here;

This car wil be on display during the upcoming POCA Fun Rally in Reno and I welcome any inspection by prospective buyers or their trusted friends/agents attending the Rally. Selling for $42.5K to fund another project and because 3 Pantera's is too many for one guy. I challenge buyers to find one as nice as this for similar price.

PM or e-mail julian_kift(at)hotmail(dot)com for a phone number and more information.

Thanks,
Julian

Whilst at the Reno Fun Rally I discovered the steering rack needs a new bushing, so I'm currently taking care of that.

This car got many positive comments on the paint color and quality whilst on display at the Virginia Street show, ask anyone who was at the Fun Rally for an unbiased opinion on this car.
