8-Blade cooling fans

Vince, Since the original system is marginal at best, it sounds like a worthwhile and reasonably priced upgrade to me. Where did you get them and about how much were they?

I purchased a good # of assorted parts from a former Pantera owner and the fan blades were included.You can probably get them from Performance Pantera (303)660-9897.

8-blade fans were factory-stock in the '75-80 time frame. They probably move a little more air than the 4-bladed fans, but it's not really worth the trouble since the basic concept is inadequate. 4-blade fans blow about 300cfm (cubic feet per minute) of air apiece at two discs of radiator tubes 10" in diameter. IMHO, what is needed is about 900cfm apiece over the entire radiator tube surface, which can only be done practically by adding a full fan shroud and sucker fans with more powerful motors regardless of the blade design. The radiator need not be tipped fwd to do this, although it's simpler to lean it fwd a bit.
