All: I have a standard throttle cable set up. Spring on the carb end with stock bracket on the manifold. Both ends have a threaded rod and nut. Before I just start turning by trial and error, can one of you explain the way to take some slack out of the system to get the most precise setting. I just replaced my carb and it is pretty good (went Holley to Quick Fuel so the linkage is almost exactly the same. But I am not getting a full pull to WOT. Gets me about 90%. Any first hand experience would be appreciated. My car is an early 71 s/n 1744. Pic of the carb end attached for reference
