to the best of my knoweledge, the afd 4V head has the same exhaust port as their 2V head, which is round & raised 2 mm in comparison to the Ford 2V exhaust port. 4V headers should seal up around the port with no interference problems. However, since the 4V header is larger than the round port of the afd head, there will be a port mismatch, not ideal for power. The 4V intake port has a raised floor, like a cast iron 4V head with port stuffers (or the A3 head). No doubt it was designed to be used with the Parker funnelweb manifold or any other manifold with raised port floors.
Phil Newell of Ausheads imports the afd heads, he may have more info, his number is (503) 866-5995. Or contact afd at +61-3-9769-5918.
