I had the "thump" in the passenger's side that everyone has disscused and checked the bushing expecting to see the original nylon. What I found is there is a bronze bushing, but it was coming out when the wheel was turned a few times. Got it back in place and secured it with the set screw and it seems to be holding.

Question? Moving around like that, could it have caused any other problems I should look for? I intend to drop the rack a drill a pilot for the set screw.

This unit was a rebuilt unit from one of the vendors with about 6-7k miles on it. Not sure how that happens.
