I am checking through the wiring on my new Pantera and ran across this knob right by the ignition switch, under dash and near steering column.  Can anyone tell me what is controls and/or functions as?  Is it aftermarket or original?  help appreciated!CF623546-276F-44D7-B71A-3C3544C98CD3

 Definitely not original.

Looks to be a potentiometer which could be used to control all manner of devices.

Are you aware of any aftermarket control devices on your car, perhaps an electric heater valve installed under the dash or in engine bay?

Can't hardly tell what is is from that pic.  Where does the wiring go?  Also, how about a pic of your steering column.  That almost looks like the potentiometer on the EPAS system I'm installing into my Mustang.

Yes that was not a very good picture.  Here are some others.  The knob turns like an on/off volume knob.  One direction it clicks off, the other degrees of ‘on’ it seems.  Wiring goes inside the steering column but might exit on the other side in an area i cannot easily see.  Will have to research more this weekend as it is not obvious.

Stock windshield wipers only had two speeds. There are aftermarket controls to make your windshield wiper a variable speed. Can you  please turn on your windshield wipers and then see if that knob has any effect on them.

Just a stab in the dark but at this point the best I can do.
