Becker Vertical Scale Radio for a Pantera

I just got so tired of my car being in this shop or that. I had a Mitsubishi vintage radio casette, vertical dial that fit the car just perfectly.

I added a chrome faceplate, 'created' vertical read knob labels from another radio I had, and voila! Instant vertical radio using what was on-site and available.

I feel awful for having 'teased' another PI member with the one I used, but he's knee deep in other projects so hopefully not too awful an outcome.

The Becker is a fine piece of equipment; should make someone happy.

I'm a loser with no sense of purpose. Actually, I really did tire of hearing the umpteenth version of "... maybe we can make this work if we can FIND THE TIME to eventually get past all these new Lexus/Benz/BMW to fit this old car in..." So I just decided to go with what I had and I'm telling you, it's pretty darn good.

I even hooked up a Hirshman power antenna to my old original antenna base. For now, I be happy.

But I DO need to come back to Atlanta to get you to perform various other mechanical wonders. If you invite me to your garage, I'd hide that new steering rack if I were you.

You would be in big trouble if I did much work on your car. I am definitely mechanically challenged. But radio work I can do.
Anyway does that Zero radio pickup any US stations?

It picks up Tokyo Rock stations perfectly. The bad news is that it actually works superbly and will probably do so for years... while your old crusty unit is scratching out marginal AM stations.

I am from Belgium but you can ship it to Peoria Arizona to Jim Cozzolino ;o) It can then go into my Pantera and ship it back to Belgium.
I tell you these Beckers only work fine when they come close to Germany. I have heard that when you install them in a Pantera that resides in Australia they only pick up Intergalactic Space Channels and once in a while some didgeridoo. This is all documented -in german- by Becker ;o)

I do not know what Area 51 is but I guess it has something to do with Roswell, and yes Coz does not live that far from Roswell!

Set the becker free Hudson. It needs to be in Europe so that the flux capacitator can be set in motion.

Your brain must've been zapped when you were abducted! Area 51 is indeed the "zone" where the aliens landed, yet unable to leave, Coz made some minor repairs and sent them away. At least that was the story I got.
