Can someone show me what the beltline window seal is supposed to look like? Mine has felts on the interior side (3/4" high) mounted to the door panels, thought the exterior side are missing. The gap from the trim to the window seems slightly over 1/2".

this window seal is a common rubber/felt which also was used on other Italian cars , easy to buy by Ft on by sample Alfa Romeo/Maseratie manufacturers .
its mounted with gleu on the chrome outer trim.

Sorry so late to chime in - wanted to share a few photos of replaced parts from 8MA1010, which has the later type door trim. Not sure at all about the earlier design, but my probably OEM whisker heights were 19mm (inner) and about 30mm (outer). They both have bright stainless strips on top for decoration (see photos). Photos show stock inner, replacement inner, and replacement outer whiskers. The stock outers were totally deteriorated; I didn't save any of those crumbling bits for posterity. I think the replacements came from Re-originals, listed as Alfa parts, possibly, but it was a number of years back now
The outer whiskers were secured with small flathead screws, while the inners were riveted to the large stamped steel trim panel found on the inner tops of 'late' doors. If you have the early door design, I assume outer whiskers would be the same as these, but the inners could easily differ. Either way it takes time to aligned everything properly! Regards, Nate

Thank you Nate, that helps a lot! The inners on my look the same, except the were fastened by tiny flat head screws. The outers are missing completely so you picture helps a lot.
The inner ones are identical to Early Mustangs (but shorter).
