Joe, my choice is any e-coil (the ones that look like a transformer). Can be a stock Mustang part or a fancy aftermarket one with a big aluminum heat-sink. The round coils invariably are filled with oil, and if they overheat, will overpressurize the case, rupture it & spray oily stuff around while short-circuiting. This then takes out the brainbox and associated wiring. The e-coils are designed to run hot without damage. This recommendation came first from an ex-Roush Racing mechanic that also owns a Pantera.
