I may not be able to get these pistons out. It appears as though the small piston has been stuck in both calipers for a long time. If someone has upgraded and has their old calipers please send a note.
That's what you're going to run into now Paul. Most every used caliper 50 years old the pistons are shot shot shot. They used a super thin chrome plating over metal, that flaked off then the pistons rusted. We bought out all the pistons years ago & used them up. That being said parts are pretty much obsolete except rubber of course.
I believe that you can buy the spares from Girling in England. I also regularly see new caliper pistons and seal sets on e-bay, maybe from 'King' Mike Mayberry, if I remember right. But I also know that Larry Stock was rebuilding a whole stack last summer when I contacted him before I found out I could buy the parts locally and have them rebuilt here.
Where are you located? I bought a really nice set of front calipers that were rebuilt for my car and just ran them a couple of times before I upgraded to Wilwoods.
