If my rotating assembly ( Harmonic balancer all the way back to the fly wheel) has had the 28 ounces taken out, and is now neutral balanced, could this be a source of mild vibration in my rotating assembly??... I guess my question is, Is it acceptible/recomended or discouraged to neutral balance a 351C??... Thanks for any help or advice

Yes, The builder neutral balanced the rotating assembly during the build. I understand, neutral should be neutral. However, as mentioned in a clutch thread, I have a small vibration. I'm installing all new A/C right now, but as soon as I am done with the A/C I will turn to the vibration issue. I think I will have to check the clutch assemby as noted in another thread. I'm just wondering if the neutral balance could be an issue??...

Are you sure that the harmonic balancer doesn't have a weight on it? If it was "removed" for your "neutral" balance, then the flywheel also needs to be "neutral" balanced. Both have 28 in oz weights.

It is my understanding it was all balanced together from the balancer to the flywheel. I just lifted the car, I will inspect the balancer in the morning.

I'm into the car right now. I built the exhaust, insulated the carb and regulated the fuel pressure. I will drop the car and then get my mind around a tranny pull. So, progress yes, vibration progress no
