Has anyone tried to use on a Pantera, carbon hoses for water circulation between front water radiator and engine, and reverse ?

No but ... I have thought of using carbon fiber tube front to rear and then std hose.
Do they make carbon hose flexible ?

They make fuel tanks out of (coated) carbon, so water should not be an issue I guess.

Reply from a top producer of carbon parts for F-cars: 'Realistically there is nothing to be gained over using aluminum tubes. Also with the tooling requirements to make custom tubes it would be massively expensive with engineering and tooling costs easily topping $40K. Sorry but this one is a total non starter.'

Alunimum tubing is a waste of money .. the heat disipation is better with thin wall copper tube .. and no wieght savings because you can go thinner with copper because its stronger.
Carbon tube can found and savings in wieght, strength and heat transfer is far superior to steel copper and aluminum. Its available but have not checked cost $$.

There are many companies advertising for ready to use carbon tubing, carbon hoses,.... in France a. o. ,and it doesn't seem very expensive at all. I doubt there would be any porosity problem, and I am sure it must be lighter than aluminium.
My understanding, by looking at the topic, is that no one has ever tried those as of today, on a Pantera ! I think I will give it a try on a GR4 replica and report to the Forum when the job is done ( after the winter) I wonder what the weight saving will be !

It's a long story and a long term project . Basically, the VIN is 4208, competing as a GR3 in the US in the 90's. the car is at the paintshop for the moment. It will be a GR4 replica.
I have a son who wants to race with me, but Candy is an " expensive" test, so i decided to build a replica.
I hope to make it a very elaborated race car - race lab, and enjoy it in racing with my son or some friends ( until my son is old enough to drive it... he is 13) !
