Reconditioned CHI 3V 225cc high exhaust port cylinder heads. These cylinder heads have new valve springs and seals. They have stainless steel valves and  60cc chambers. The heads have water outlet ports installed and can be used on a Cleveland, Windsor or Fontana block. There are also temperature sending unit ports on each head. The high exhaust ports on these heads did not cause any clearance problems with the headers on my Pantera. The price is $2200 plus shipping.

The heads will accept a standard Cleveland intake manifold, but the ports on the heads will be a bit smaller. The Edlebrock Performer Air Gap intake manifold is a good match for the CHI 3V head. I am currently using the manifold from CHI that matches the 3V head and my Fontana aluminum block, but CHI does make a matching manifold in a 9.2 deck for the Cleveland. Those are available through CHI in Australia or there could be one sitting on a shelf somewhere here in the United States. I can certainly research that for you.

This information may be outdated, or they may have stretched the truth a little bit trying to sell their own manifold.

Sign me confused....

I have just sent an email to CHI to get some clarification on this intake manifold question. I believe that the information that CHI has about the 3V heads may be outdated or they are looking at getting a perfect port match. The 3V cylinder heads have a smaller intake port than a factory Cleveland 4V cast iron cylinder head. The 3V port size is very close to the 2V CHI cylinder head port and the factory 2V cast iron Cleveland head. There are several intake manifolds on the market today that should bolt up to these heads. Edlebrock makes an air gap, which I once had and used on a set of CHI 2V heads that I had on my last engine. Trick Flow also has come out with an intake manifold for their aluminum Cleveland heads, which is also looks very much like the CHI 3V heads. There are a few other options for intake manifolds also, but I didn't get too far into looking.
