Cleveland Water Pump Fitting

I never used sealer, but I'm not sure what's best.

Torque is 30 ftlbs

I use a thin coating of Permatex Super 300 Form-a-Gasket Sealant.
Permatex makes several types of Form-a-Gasket. the Super 300 is a
non-hardening sealant designed to resist heat transfer fluids such as
oil or antifreeze. I use it on cork and paper type gaskets that are
not taken apart on regular basis. Put it on very thin.

Also, use anti-seize liberally down the length of the bolts.

I'd planned on using a smear of copper slip on the threads however, I was going to use some sealant as I believe one or more of the bolts tap into a waterjacket!

I have a set of stainless fasteners.

Phil, stainless fastners can corrode, thats why they are called "stain....less". If they are not of high quality metal it can happen sooner. A coat of antiseize on the bolt shanks wont hurt.
