Coolant pipe routing

Have been struggling to fit my Hall stainless pipe set, but almost there now but, I'm a bit confused regarding pipe routing.

I have a new Hall radiator, (looks like a standard one) and assume that the top pipe goes to the water pump?

and does the heater pipe from the water pump go to the Valve at the heater please. grateful for help here, Peter.

markiv42804280 racing is life .....everything else is just waiting

water pump to bottom/thermostat to the top.the 5/8 tube hose fitting and the tapped hole on the pump are suction. use the tapped hole when doing the coolant tank mods. the tube in the block is pressure , run it to the heater valve.

The original routing was water pump to TOP of radiator; bottom of coolant tank to BOTTOM of radiator.

I've run our Pantera both ways, and while air bleeding was easier with the plumbing from top of rad back to water pump- the so-called 'overflow configuration' that chases air out of the radiator with water flow- the engine ran at the same temp with both setups once all the air was gone. This was a 550-mile San Jose-to-'Vegas Fun Rally run one way, them I switched the hoses around at a friend's house in 'Vegas and we drove home. So no great advantage either way.
