I am looking for functional seats that are comforable to sit in. I hear that the Corvette seats are the ticket. But I need to know if it's the C-4 or the C-5 seats that are the bomb. Also, I've heard that there is someone that will cover the seats in the color that is requested. Any and all info would be greatly appreciated.

Gary's seats are indeed great, if you like the early C4 style Corvette seats.

I have a set of the 94-96 later C4 design which was a more rounded bolster shape, just personal preference. The great thing is that the Corvette vendors sell all types of replacement covers in vinyl, leather, custom piping, mounted on foam or not etc.

Mid America Corvette has an on-line custom design page let's you see the suttle differences between the various year C4 seat designs and covers with piping, contrasting centers etc.

I may be selling my brand new nver installed set from gary with the stock pantera grain apolstery. Gary said that the cores were the nicest he'd seen in years. I may go with sparco torinos since i found a set cheap its just a matter of if they will fit. I will sell them for what I paid for them and split shipping with you if I can be sure the torinos will work in a pantera.
Hi,

I put Recaros in my car back in the early 1990s. Black leather covered. At the time they were called LX-C seats. They have extendable thigh support. I found that my lower back and my shoulder area did not have enough support in the stock '74 seats. After a 2 hour drive I would feel uncomfortable in those areas.

I am over 6 ft tall and head room was an issue. I did alot of research and found, at the time, the Recaros were my ticket. I have never looked back. I did have to make my own mounting adaptors.
