Hoping I can get some guidance here. The main ignition feed on 4072 to the balast resister is dead. I have power leavig the ignition switch. The schematics show a straight wire from the ignition switch to the balast resister. My question is; does anyone know of a connector in the wire which is not listed in the schematics? If there is a connector from the ignition to the balast where could it be found? Remember 4072 is a July 72 build. Thanks

I had this wire severely overheat on mine with portions of the wire in the rocker completely without insulation. As JAG mentioned this is indeed a continuous run. I suspect the wire his broken in the rocker. Now you get the pleasure of learning how to run wire through the rocker. One thing you can do is to remove the seat belt mount on the rocker and take a peek inside the rocker. You also need to check the terminal block in the steering column.
If it involves running a wire through a long tunnel, I've had success with dental floss, and either a vacum cleaner, or compressed air, and sucking or blowing the string through.

Sometimes it works a charm, then you just tie the new wire onto the string and pull it through.

I don't know what's involved, but this method has worked for me on a number of occasions.
