Any suggestions for a good engine management system (kit) that is best for a weekend warrior mechanic? Looking at Pantera Performance's (or other)injection setup. Perhaps Motec, electromotive would be a good fit?

MSD also has an aftermarket EFI system. Details are on their web site. Note that Gary Hall recently tried to bring a 'cheaper' version of EFI to the aftermarket. But after 3 yrs of fooling around with Far East shops etc, he wound up with a system that cost MORE thasn Quellas EFI system, and was more difficult to tune. He dropped the idea. I suggest you talk to your Nor-Cal Chapter member Roger Sharp, who is both owner of a Quella EFI system and is a technophobe who hates computers. His system has had 1.0- tweek done to Kirby Schraders EFI program since we installed it in Rogers Pantera in 2001. It runs fine if a little rich.
