My dome light on my early 71 Pantera is not working. I am pretty sure the fuses are good because all of the other courtesy lights are working. I want to check the bulb but I don't know how to get access to it and I am afraid I may break the light cover if I pry on it the wrong way. Anybody got any pointers on how to get the light cover off? Must the whole trim piece that it is mounted on come off? Thanks for any help.

I have the dome light on a rocker switch, yet I was not happy with amount of light this lamp cast so I made a cover out of fiberglas and covered it with leather and added two stock dash lamps and wired it to the door switch this assembly was then added to the rearview mirror front side, I now have a set of dome lamps that cast the light onto the area that counts, I also added a rocker switch on the side of the rearview mirror so that I can use the lamps as a map light
