Yes, there are some fast drag cars out there. And they are not panteras. The Pantera does not make a good drag car. I believe high 9s is the best that has ever been done.
On a related note, how many people beside me have a problem with burnouts. I dont mean problem doing a burnout, but a problem keeping the RPMs down. I will bump the rev limiter and have to feather the throttle.

Dave, try doing your burnout in third gear instead of first.

YES, Had the speedo at 160 and wasnt even moving. But I have to admit, it was in snow!!!!
Dave, it sounds to me like your chassis isn't set up for drag racing. It can't handle that 65 horsepower. How wide are your wrinkle wall slicks? 21" or 23"?????
