Strange electrical problem. My left tail light is not working (right side works). Per the factory wiring diagram this is fed by the red wire. There is no current at the socket. I have used a test light along the rear wiring harness and there is no current even before the split to each tail light. How can the right tail light work when it shows no current before the wires split? Confused

The red wire is for the brake lights. The yellow and yellow/black wires are for the tail lights, front parking lights, side marker lights, and license plate lights. These are on fuses #3 and #4, and are split right side lights and left side lights. Even the license plate lights are split between these two circuits.

Wiring diagram indicates that the yellow wire and fuse #4 is for the left side of the vehicle.

If the left side marker light and the license plate lights work, then check the light bulb, bulb socket, ground connections, and wiring harness connector as Larry suggested.
