I'm planning an upgrade to Electromotive's XDI ignition.

In two threads - the 351 enigine building guidance thread being one of them - George does mention a 6 Inch, 58 tooth (60-2) trigger wheel # 220-72660 (being an universal trigger wheel???).

On Electromotive's site, I only find a #230-72660 - 6.0" Trigger Wheel, 58 tooth...

Asking for the parts I want to buy, I got following response:

Confused

My guess is I need to order the universal wheel, e.g. #230-72660 but would like to be sure. After all, I don't know anything about any bolt patterns...

Per Electromotive's site:
For most 5.0L/351W 4-Bolt Damper Applications
7-1/4” Trigger Wheel PN: 220-72829

Note, that this is a 7-1/4' wheel, and not 6'

Anyways, since the 351C seems to use the same bolt pattern as 351W and 302, I should be safe with ordering that trigger wheel.

The #220-72660 is one I cannot find in Electromotive's current product list. Maybe it's not longer made, replaced, or did part numbers change. In that case, a little correction to the 351 engine build thread might be useful Smiler

Interference with, or in terms of?

I'd expect avoiding signal errors has more to do with the quality and position of bracket and sensor, rather than with the size of the trigger wheel. Am I wrong?
On most Panteras, it's possible to remove the entire idler pulley and its mount, and adjust compressor belt tension by shifting the compressor itself. This is easier with the much lighter weight Sankyo/Sanden aluminum compressors, and cleans up the front of the engine for easier servicing.
Second observation: engine vibration will flex aftermarket crank-fire pickup wires and eventually crack some, especially if the leads are short or unsupported. One owner went through three Electramotive pickups during a 700-mile round trip, due to too-short leads. Once home, he extended the leads and tied them down, and had no more problems.

So, the 7-1/4 one should be sticking out .375 inch more - Judging on the picture only (have no access tot the car right now), that should be doable, if necessary with small mods.

Compressor and its pully are removed, so they are not an issue.
