So it started out as just replacing the GTS headers. But once they were off, I could really see the motor mounts. And though clean, they sure weren't pretty. And since I was getting the headers CermaKromed...

Well, you know how it goes.

Are the bushes a specialised part ? I have been told my mounts need replacing, but was scared of looking into it due to the 'pantera tax' !

I don't know of any interchange parts, they are fairly expensive ($150?), but the aftermarket ones from the vendors are more heat resistant as well.

New motor mount rubber is on my “to do “list. Did you find a reasonable cost source?

I called Wilkinson and P.I. and neither had them in stock???

Pantera Parts Connection - Reno - Larry Stock - had them, shipped them the same day, arrived the following day. Total cost - items, shipping, tax = $102.

Give Larry a call at 1-800-detomaso

If you buy elsewhere, make sure you DO NOT purchase the polyurethane items - THEY MELT!!

Have you received the headers back yet?

I'll be happy to assist any owner with coating at Caps. I'm sure they can handle mail order directly, but if anyone has questions or wants help, just let me know.

Cost to coat headers = $225

Headers are Dennis Quella's that I purchased uncoated, checked for fit. Fit was fine, but I had to get the flanges surfaced; way far from flat.

I pulled out my mounts this afternoon. They looked fine, but it was so easy to get them out with the headers out of the way.

The lower pucks were distorted enough to cause the front of the engine to sit be maybe 3/16" lower than it should and all of them are hard as a thirty five year old tire (rock). I may as well have had solid mounts.

I'll call PPC tomorrow.

Mine got so bad that vibration sheared 3 of the 4 bolts in the engine. Drilling out bolts with the engine in the car is a real PITA. Make sure you use quality grade 8 bolts.
