So much bling I gotta wear shades!

Very nice!!! I am too lazy to keep up with the maintenance myself. I like seeing it on other cars though.

They really know their stuff. Randy Grubb's B702 (the Blastolene Brother's blue car that sold last year at BJ) headers were done at Caps.

I ground down all the casting flash on the mounts and left them at Caps.

A week later, and $120, they were mine.

Are those new bushings too?

My headers are off also and my motor mount assy's are staring back at me too.

Are the bushes a specialised part ? I have been told my mounts need replacing,but was scared of looking into it due to the 'pantera tax' !

If they're not too far gone, the rubbers can be swapped around top to bottom or rotated or both to equalize the wear, no?

I don't know of any interchange parts, they are fairly expensive ($150?), but the aftermarket ones from the vendors are more heat resistant as well.

Larry, those look great. Have you received the headers back yet? If they look as good as the mounts I'll be pulling mine off and sending them.

Cost to coat headers = $225

Headers are Dennis Quella's that I purchased uncoated, checked for fit. Fit was fine, but I had to get the flanges surfaced; way far from flat.

I pulled out my mounts this afternoon. They looked fine, but it was so easy to get them out with the headers out of the way.

The lower pucks were distorted enough to cause the front of the engine to sit be maybe 3/16" lower than it should and all of them are hard as a thirty five year old tire (rock). I may as well have had solid mounts.

I'll call PPC tomorrow.

Exactly why I progressed to doing what I did.

Mine got so bad that vibration sheared 3 of the 4 bolts in the engine. Drilling out bolts with the engine in the car is a real PITA. Make sure you use quality grade 8 bolts.

yeah but don't use the urethane ones, mine were a melted pile of goo.
