EU taillight lenses / taillights wanted

I am not sure, but it seems that the tail light lenses of an Alfa Berlina I have bought recently are exactly the same. I have not changed them out yet, so not 100% sure.
There are other Italian cars from that period (Maserati Khamsin?) that share the same lenses as well, it seems.

As far as i know, the altissimo lights were also used for Alfa 2000, Maserati Merak+Bora.
There are some italian repro-lenses with the mounting screws not at the edges but in in the center of the lens.

Be aware these are new, but not new original pieces.

They are done to visually mimic the original Carello lenses. Original Carello lenses provided the amber and red color with a thin veneer of colored plastic. The reproductions use a sprayed-on tint on the inside of the lenses.

There are other differences, also.

Original lenses are very often found on European eBay sites with a little bit of patience and searching.

And yes, many of the European offerings are also for the new reproductions. If the auction photo shows them in a clear plastic bag sealed with a crimped metal band, they are the repo version.

Original versions will have either "Carello" or "Altissimo" embossed on the red reflectors common to both versions.

Are your current housings metal?

Is each side comprised of two plastic lenses, not one single piece?

If this is the case, you have a fairly uncommon version of these tail lights.

Finding replacement lenses for these housings will be difficult.

Surprisingly, there is a set on eBay Italy right now.

I do have one complete light set of those rare two piece units Larry refers to, although the metal on the housings is a little pitted if I recall.

I've also seen some (but not all) of the Maserati lenses with an embossed trident in the plastic. The set I bought off a Merak were complete with reflectors but the pin arrangement in the connector needed to be changed to work correctly in a Pantera.
