FACTORY OUTER ROCKER PANELS

A recent close-up inspection of a true factory outer rocker panel revealed it pressed from one piece of sheet metal. In the case of the after market reproductions it looks like the door sill segment is separately formed then butt welded to the remaining lower portion of the outer rocker. Was curious of observations from others who personal have explored this issue.

Its been a long time but I seem to remember the ones i installed were one pressed piece. I dont recall seeing anything that would lead me to believe they were welded. That being said I do remember they didnt fit for S&$t.
