I am having a slight vibration in the front when at 80 I make a long sweeping turns going right, going left, no.? I replaced the steering rack, front tires.
alignment, balance. anyone have a similar experience?

Mine does that sometimes, don't really know what it is. I thought it might be on a particular curve, but haven't tried it on others.

My first guess would be a worn ball joint or tie rod end or possibly wheel bearing. Check for play in any of those.
I finally found the problem and yes it is the upper ball joint, in combination with a leaking shock. Everything on the front end failed in the following sequence, 1.) steering rack, 2.) front tires(2003)3.)tie rod ends 4.)wheel bearing driver side. 5.)leaking shock. 6.) upper ball joint. The last couple of months have been really interesting, I left out a defective rear tire.
Does anyone have a source for ball joints?

I just bought 2 at that price from Dennis at Pantera Performance. Figured I'd be safer buying from the vendors that know for sure what precise part is needed and I figure my life is worth it. ;-)

Do you want one or two? I have a pair of "zero mile" upper ball joints I'll sell for $100 ($50 ea), plus shipping from Washington State. They have been installed, so I can't call them new, but the car was never driven with them installed. Before I had a chance to drive the car, I decided to replace the ball joints with spherical bearings, so I didn't need the ball joints. I have the lowers too; same price.
