while spending today googling and gather info about gauges and senders, I got a hit for circuit board that can match a sender to the gauge.
http://www.hax.se/gauge-corrector/
the Author/inventor did so specifically for a Pantera.

I found where it has been mentioned here in the past, but no referance to anyone using one.

So does anyone have any experaince with 0r is the author/inventor on this site.

while the original appears to be for just the gas gauge, I was hopping if 3 of them could be used for the fuel, water and oil gauges.

I have tried the email address on the site and through another professional site where Thomas T is listed.

since, I have found another such device that is comercially available.
http://www.technoversions.com/MeterMatchHome.html

from the discriptions, Thomas's circuit utilizes the capibility of the matrix chip to provide an over kill for curve fitting (16 points) where the other offers only 4 points which should be sufficient.

given I am still a long time from installing gauges, I'll wait on asking for a personnel introduction thanks Anders.

Still would like to hear if anyone is using them
I contacted the HAX guy on an earlier occasion, here is his reply:

Hello Jan,

Unfortunately I have no boards to make new correctors and have no plans to make a new
batch.

Thanks for the interest.

Cheers,
Thomas

I suppose the MeterMatch would be a good alternative. I particularly like the option for a "warning" lamp at low Oil pressure!
