I have managed to find time to finish restoring some more of my Group 4 Pantera tail lights.

I want to post them to eBay shortly but thought I would offer them here first. Several members of this forum have purchased my restored sets, and the comments have always been positive.

I thoroughly disassemble, clean, refurbish and repair as needed. They are each tested and will function as new. The lenses are always free of cracks, repairs or gouges. They may have some minor scratching - hey, these are nearly 40 year old lenses - but after cleaning and polishing, they look WAY better than what your current lenses look like, guaranteed.

Chrome rings on these two sets is VERY good, and while I can't call them 100%, once mounted on your car, the few flaws that are there will basically never be noticed.

I can provide Carello or Altissimo, they come with used but renewed and serviceable gaskets, and all the hardware needed for mounting. As long as I have good used bulbs, they will come with those, too. I can provide lenses with blacked-out chrome if you prefer, for an additional $50. Or I’ll pass on my tips and proven-by-experience brand of paint if you prefer the challenge of painting plastic.

My rock-bottom pricing is $375 a set and you’ll pay the postage/insurance on top of that - about $20 here in the USA. Your personal check will be fine, Paypal for international buyers will need to add $10.

I’ve sold close to thirty sets so far with no complaints yet. If you aren't happy with what you receive, money will be cheerfully refunded. I’ll always stand behind the lights and will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

I also have some NOS lights, but the housing chrome is no longer perfect. Contact me if you are interested in these no-wear, never installed sets. I would advise chrome painting, as I do on the restored sets, for these chrome-challenged sets.

I’ll pull this post in a week or so and list them on eBay at that time.

I have purchased a set of front turn signals/running lights from Larry, as well as a set of his GRP 4 tail lights. I'm very pleased with both. They look like they are new, other than the chrome on the surround. I'm blacking mine out. The appropriate hardware was included with both. That doesn't happen very often in Panteraland! You won't be disappointed.
P.S. PM me the secret paint brand Larry.

I have purchased both of Larry's front turn signal set and NOS Carello GP4 set. I was very pleased with the items and how well he took care of the transaction.

If your in the market ... Larry's your man.

On the two types of GP4 tailights ...
I have both NOS Carellos and NOS Altissimos. In my opinion, the Carello housings are better (eg. better reflective chrome, larger "dish" area, re-enforcing ribs for greater strength). On the other hand, for my taste the Altissimo lenses are better (eg. the consistent diamond refractive pattern in the plastic - even in the back-up light area).
I purchased 2 colour front signal markers from Larry. Received them, quickly, very well packaged and everything was included with simple and easy to understand instructions. If these were used his restoration techniques are FIRST class. Thanks. Larry

Aren't the Carello lights thinner/ not as deep as the Altissimo?

While both makes have the same footprint and appear, to most, the same, there are differences.

Carello was what De Tomaso used. The lights were initially used on an earlier Alfa. Somewhere along the line, Altissimo started making them. I have received NOS Carello and Altissimo in Alfa packaging.

Housings are a tad bit different in dimensional layout of the reflector concave domes. But footprint is the same for both, and that footprint matches the stock Ford tail lights.

The Carello lens is not as deep (tall) as the Altissimo. The Carello lens treats the lens area at the clear back-up light portion with horizontal lines in stead of the faceted treatment found in the amber and red areas. The Carello lens is smoothly rounded on the face, while the Altissimo has a distinct ridge running across the horizontal center.

The lenses will somewhat interchange onto the other's housings, but with some issues. You can work around them, but I only sell matched sets.

In fact, the Altissimo housings were factory painted with a low-reflective gray paint vs. the chromed Carello units. I have seen ONE chromed Altissimo unit, however.

The 'chrome' paint I use is far better than the OEM Altissimo painted units.

I too prefer the total faceted look of the Altissimo lenses, and those are what I have installed on 2511.

But to each their own, and I have both styles available.
