Good luck with the restoration, it is good to see it will be restored. I looked closely at the car but the $14K your customer offered was too rich for me, with all the uncertainty.

Having gone through the salvage title, it might even be possible to get it road legal this time.

Roland said all the parts are available, so he has access or leads, but cost is another subject....

The people you can get parts from is very small. Unless someone has a Guara to part out, then it would be the regulars in Roland or Steve.

I do not know of anyone parting a Guara at this time. Are there more of these in Europe? Maybe someone in a club there would know of a parts car? Charlie, Charlie, are you there......

Best of luck.
Maybe this one? During some discussion on whether the yellow Guara was a viable project, here is an article from the UK DT Drivers Club that Mike Drew sent me on a similar fated car...

"I bought the fire damaged Guara in 2005 from a salvage yard for £500! It originally belonged to Andy Dowler and he sold it to Andy Charlish who now lives in the States. I started to restore it but it would have been a mammoth task. Roger Brotton bought it from me and he sold it overseas. I can find out where it went to. I do not have chassis number to hand but can trace it. The interior trim was very striking purple colour. Phil Stebbings."

Thank you for posting those pages. Perhaps this was the Guara I was thinking of. It looks much worse off than the yellow car. We should be able to get the needed parts and we have an in-house fabricator that can create what we can't easily purchase. I have had the good fortune to drive several Guaras including a BMW powered model in Europe and I must say that I love these cars. The noisy gearboxes were really a nuisance but this yellow car had none of that nonsense. It should be done in a few months for the new owner to enjoy and add to his collection. Thanks again, Dave
