I have a head gasket removed with a part no. D3ZX6051AA stamped on it and there is a extra hole compared to another gasket.
I think this is called a steam hole.
Would anyone know if this is required.

Here is a Fel Pro #1013 head gasket.
It has 2 small holes in that location.

Thanks Mike, the new head gasket Im going to install does not have the holes. The original one has a 3/8th in. hole and yours has 2 small holes.
Im just wondering whats the purpose of it and should I drill the holes.

I think the holes should be there. I had no temperature problems using the Fel Pro 1013. What gasket do you have that doesnt have the holes ?
