Hi Peter, What specifically don't you like about the SACC lights? Kirk Evans (Amerisport) sells a similar headlight conversion; I think it's nearly identical to the SACC conversion, but I believe Amerisport offers a 90mm and a 60mm conversion. Do you have something in particular in mind that you're looking for? Vader also used to sell a headlight conversion similar to Amerisport and SACC, as well as a single rectangular headlight conversion.
There are, I’m sure, only a handful of well engineered solutions out there. I installed the Amerisport lights on my late ‘71 car before I sold it. Great kit, easy to install and I was extremely pleased with the results — both aesthetically and light output.
I have both 90mm and 60mm versions of Kirk's kits and the light output is amazing. The more modern 60mm I thought suited my GT5 a lot better. I got my first set from Kirk at a Vegas Fun Rally when they were a relatively new product to market, that said I still think they are the best aesthetically with composite formed housings over the SACC or Vader metal pieces.
With the recent growth of LED lighting you really can do whatever you want these days, it's more a matter of choosing how wide you want the opening height to be and finding a light unit that fits.
Hi Joules
I would like LED and smaller 60mm specially if its look better as you said it
can you recommend donor car for "easy" conversion
thank you for your help
any pictures available
thanks Peter
Peter,
Rather than use donor parts, Hella sells the 60mm units;

Easy to retrofit with LED bulbs.

I too share an interest in converting the Headlights.
Ease of installation is as important as the results.
Thanks
Kirk’s website was down about a month ago, also. I’ve sent him an email today in hopes of hearing back from him.

I just visited the site..I guess it's back up
I liked the 60mm units on my GT5 so much I purchased a second set for my '74 (yes I'll get around to it one day I swear!), but that does leave an used set of Kirk's 90mm lights surplus that I will sell.
)what would be the price) ???
My apologies, I missed the request. Given a new set is currently on sale for $859.95 I think $550 + shipping sounds fair.
