Header Removal

If I remember right it should come out from the top fairly easy although its been awhile since I removed one.

I've had no problems with removal of mine from the top. It's really easier than it looks. Probably the hardest part is getting the bolts started.

The drivers side seems to be a little easier to get out than the passenger side. As far as header removal or replacement, the Pantera seems to be the easiest car I have ever done that job on.

I've always taken my headers off from underneath the car.

My Header bolts are hex bolts. I always found these fairly easy to get out at odd angles. I have one cut down a little for a tight spot.

Before I tore the car apart that is. I am using hex bolts on the new header I built as well.

Removal from the bottom is no problem. The pain is putting them back on (driver side).

I still don't get it. You take them out from the bottom and you reinstall them from the bottom. The driver's side has more room than the passenger side because the coolant fill tank is on the passenger side. Taking headers on and off of these cars is as simple and easy as it gets. The frame rails are not in the way and if you have the car on a lift, it is much easier than laying on your back, although I have installed a couple of sets with only the back of the car jacked up.
