What type do you use?
Where did you get them?
What about quality?
Did they fit properly?

"PI" Big Tubes, ceramic coated, big exhaust pipes, twin glass packs with crome tips and the cross over pipe connecting the two sides together. No fit problem with either cast iron closed chamber 4V heads or CHI aluminum 2V heads. The pipes are a little close to the frame but they will clear. I had a set of Hall's big bores, but they don't compare to the "PI Headers".
I would say header selection depends on the application. PIM sent me headers to go with my 427 that had 2 1/2" collectors. I had to cut them back and weld on 3" flanges or else they would have choked the motor. Since I had to pay for getting them ceramic coated again, I was not impressed. Had I known then what I know now, I would have bought Pat Mical's headers which are designed for high-horsepower strokers to begin with. This is no slight to Fred Matsumoto, whose advice actually led to my taking a torch to the PIM Mind-Train derived headers!
