Rebuilding my engine and want to replace the dual points distributor. Have read the many previous posts regarding the Duraspark & MSD. Is the Duraspark system still a desireable, viable system or is there a more recent system suggested for the engine?

Just wanted to add to my previous post. The distributor I currently have is an Accel 30202. I am also looking into the Pertronix Ignitor; however, cannot find an exact application. I read an article by Mike Daily converting the Accel by modifying and using GM components. Has anyone converted the Accel 30202 to HEI? Thank you

Lots of folks swear by the Duraspark & it is still a great system.

I use a Mallory Unilite with a MSD-6A and a Blaster Coil; it's never missed a beat in 26 years.
