Help. Can't get my horns working. I replaced both horns, new connectors; fuses are good. I unscrewed the end of the turn signal stalk and when I touch the bare end, I can hear the relay clicking. Any words of advice? Also there were articles in JAN95 and SEP98 POCA newsletters about troubleshooting horns and adding a center-mounted horn button (I have a LaCerra wheel). Anyone have them. My fax is 973-422-9811.

Swen, I had exactly the same problem a while back, and after a week of circuit chasing with a VOM starting with the horns, I discovered that the ground wire for the horns is actually in the horn stalk itself. A wire comes out of the turn signal housing and penetrates the steel stalk, being soldered to the far side of the tube. The solder joint had cracked and only need re-soldering. The wire was actually a little too short, and there was very little extra to stretch. I wrote up my experiences in the Jan '95 POCA news, which I think is still available from the POCA store.
Thanks Jack. I'll give it a shot.Originally posted by jack deryke:

My horn doesn't work either. I know the problem is the button in the stalk, how exactly do you separate the button from the stalk?
