Thank the man upstairs I did not find this on my Pantera! I pulled the body off the frame on my 64 vette coupe, knew I had some issues on the back end but was not ready for the extent that I found. Previous owner did some sorry assed repair attempt. Guess I am now in the market for a frame. Too bad, I really need to get that car done before I get to work on the Pantera. Only one down at a time.

We bought our pantera just as "we thought" we were finishing up my wife's high school car. My wifes car took longer than expected ( as usual 3X time, 3X $ rule ) and the cat needed a few things... Two at a time should be reserved for dreams of hot chicks, not hot cars Smiler... I'm dyin' over here, seems like nothin' is getting done... Good luck w/the vette, it will be killer when done!!...
Angelo, look on the bright side. By the time you are done with the vette, you will be in good practice to do your repairs to the Pantera. Your weld beads will be better, you hammer talent will improve, your ability to cut a straight line in metal will be awesome by then. Look at it like practice for the big game.

My wife's condition on purchasing my Pantera was that my 66 Mustang would be back on the road in 6 months - that was 4 years ago! What started as a transmission rebuild turned into a complete undercarriage restoration once I discovered some rust down there. And now the Pantera is down for an engine rebuild - I HATE having two cars down a the same time.

I pretty much had the same plan with the vette, I was going to finish it and give it to my son, but since he is gone, it took a bit for me to get back on the car.

Thanks for the links, I am realing from all the options and the costs involved in getting this thing back on track. Guess I can work on the body and interior while I scrape together frame stuff.

Boy and my wish list was almost done for the Pantera. Except the engine. still undecided about building the 351.

Thanks,
Angelo
