I'm after an indicator switch for the steering column of my '73 Pantera.
Does anyone have one they don't need? Or can anyone tell me what vehicle they were originally off? Thanks!

I seem to recall that Steve Wilkinson had these reproduced and in stock? Worth a call rather than ordering from Germany?

As for where they came from, the entire steering column, tube, ignition switch and the turn indicator assembly were all sourced from 1970–1972 Ford capri MKI automobiles. I believe the indicator assembly is the only item that has reproductions available.

Rebuild the one you have we do 'em all the time.
Do you have a source of parts?
If I recall correctly since SOBill gave up rebuilding the switches John Taphorn took on the reigns and stash of spare parts.
Thanks everyone. I’ll see if. Can find a Capri one at a wreckers (plenty of old cars in NZ)
Team Blitz is a Capri parts supplier here in the States.
I recently purchased one from team blitz. Do not recall what I paid for it. It was mechanically identical to the original but absent any casting numbers. It had the flash-to-pass option, as does the one in the eBay auction, which I was seeking as I am going to be running DRL‘s on 2511 and will use the flash function to flash the DRL’s.

Ford Capri parts have become rarer than Pantera's, I used to pick up indicator and ignition switches on eBay UK for $20-50, those days are long gone.
Larry, if you are running DRL's won't they already be on by definition?
Julian,
While admittedly not the standard high beam flash that is normally associated with a flash-to-pass action, I humbly contend that 55 W DRL’s flashing on and off will prove sufficient. 😁
The DRL‘s are controlled by a voltage-sensing module that closes a relay when it senses the charging voltage of an alternator. The flash-to-pass action opens and closes a second relay in the DRL circuit that interrupts the DRL feed coming out of the first relay.

I have a few that still have a lot of good parts inside $58. Mikedmayberry@hotmail.com
