I'm located in northern VA. It seems like most of the cars are located on the west coast. I was told that within the Pantera community, east coast cars are viewed
as "risky" due to salt on the roads during winter, etc. Is there truly a

no stigma, just have the car checked out. If it's bad you will have saved a bundle. If it's checks out desion time. Just look at a bunch of cars if you can.

BTW: I'm looking to purchase a 71-72 Pantera. I live in northern Virginia. I'm looking for a car that's gone through full restoration (bare metal) with moderate upgrades. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

There is one for sale in nova, see on this page. It has not gone through restoration, however. FWIW.
