Hello all.

I am beginning to plan for my winters work of renovating the interior of #3528. I have been collecting pictures of some of the more tasteful interior renovations and mods that I have seen posted since January.

That said, may I ask if you can post any reno's or mods you have completed?

I am mostly looking for new ideas with regards to the following areas:

- dash (I have the dual-pod '72 dash, which I plan to keep in place)
- console (should I stay with the vertical theme or go horizontal?)
- gauges (I really like many of the white-faced gauges I've seen out there!)
- bulkhead (a reduction kit, especially)
- doors (trim, handles, speakers)
- Misc: stereo systems, speakers, GPS nav, etc.

Of course, there are probably areas that I have forgotten. I welcome any good ideas!

Thanks ,
EA

since a discussion has been going on about interiors, i have to ask......

has anyone been able to center the steering wheel to the seat?

at first the asymmetry drove me absolutely nuts (despite having the same in my old '86 toyota cargo van), but it is really irritating and if there is a feasible way to solve this, it would be appreciated. of course, i suspect, a new dash is involved (hmmmm a nice winter project!!).

thanks in advance

question for ya David. How do you control the temperature now without the selector. and do your wipers only have one speed? not that you should be driving in the rain but....

I do need to say that the interior of your car is amazing.

I think that this may be the best interior in a car today. its the audi R8.

I mounted the original selector under the front console and have an acces panel that is easy to get to - but nicely concealed in the passenger footwell.

The air is set at full cold and my vent settings have been predetermined. I still can, but rarely change these settings. I can switch to heat, or defrost, but in 20 years I've never needed either.

Lets face it, if it's hot enough to need A/C then only thing that I ever adjust is the interior fan speed and the vent vanes.

I think the HVAC in the Pantera Si is out of a Maserati Quattroporte. It's fully electronic with a touch pad interface (from what I can tell from the pictures of the interface). Our European bretheren would probably be better able to shed the correct light on this subject.

I expeienced the same problem on a 71. The steering wheel angled to the left badly. After examination I found that the underdash structure that the column mounts to was welded on crooked. I ended up making new column mounts so now the steering wheel sits parallel to the driver. The seat is however not centered to the wheel.
