I have an area on my front L bumper that needs to be refreshed. I did a search on here and found an old thread recommending an Eastwood product SEM #39103. Of course I can not find that on their site. Does anyone else have a recommendation for a spray? I am assuming the bumper is rubber. Will a product made for urethane also work? The bumper its self is not wavy but there is an area that has been scuffed. I will post some pics later.

Thanks

Otis,

SEM Trim Black is #39143 (you were very close). It is excellent stuff — a very tough surface, a perfectly satin sheen and easy to apply. I've never used the Eastwood stuff but the Dupont Trim black is too shiny (IMHO) and most other ones I've tries scratch too easily once dry.

Much appreciated! I will talk to my painter since he is going to be doing some other touch ups for me. I was looking at the bumper and it almost looks like a previous owner spilled something acidic or maybe did a light sand job and couldn't refinish it properly. Not exactly sure what to think. The surface is slightly coarse.

Otis, hopefully this is not too late, but I'm not sure how solid the bumper surface is. The SEM trim black lacks a flex-agent which might be needed for a softer surface. I know it works extremely well on most hard surfaces. Maybe test an underside section of the bumper first?
