How do you perform a lien check on a Pantera that has only 13 digits in the VIN?

Will, If the car is in the States, when you send the title documents to the US Customs Office at the border crossing you intend to use, they should do a full check to make sure it's clear to export. I think that includes liens as well as any theft reports. When you register the car in Canada the MTO will look for the export stamp on the title as proof that all is OK.
My '71 only has 11 (six letters, five numbers) and to my knowledge that is the case with all '71 to '74 cars. Probably true up until the 1980+ models when 17 digit VIN numbers were standardized.
