Would like fairly recently manufactured yokos or pirelli 2- 285/40-15 2- 345/35-15.

Yes I can piece together a set through eBay or Craigslist, but would prefer to buy a complete set from someone reputable. The michelins are also an option I've considered but I'm not really a fan of that look.

I also realize the wise thing to probably do is upgrade the wheels and tires, but thought I'd reach out here first.

If any surface for sale please let me know.

I'm okay with lightly used as well.

Thanks!

Not yet, but they are on the list.

245's are about the largest you can get on the front. Even those require you to take a 5# lumping hammer and clearance inside of the fender.

The 225-50-15 is nice in that it interferes with nothing and lowers the front of the car a hair.

It doesn't effect the steering effort and when you go wider you start to effect the original design geometry built into the steering.

The picture that RickP posted gives you a pretty good idea of how well the tire fills the rear well and how the car sits with them.

Looks like he is still using the factory installed spring spacers. If you take them out you will lower the car about an inch and close up some of the fender gap.

You will feel it with better corning bite when you take them out too.

Are those factory wheels or something else?

Those are the factory wheels.
One of my employees/friends came in to my shop and polished them while the seats were being redone.
I am likely to sell then after the Group 4 conversion.
