It is said by some that they know of a paint for aluminum heads that if tested with a magnet will indicate they are iron.
Some claim that Gary Hall was using it on his race car but none have offered a source of this stuff.

My guess is that paint with ferrous material mixed in and painted onto aluminum heads will be only mildly magnetic and be easily detected as not iron.
Yes, Ferrous dust in the paint provides magnetic pull of about 0.25 lb on painted surfaces using 3 coats, compared to magnetic pull of about 6 lbs for the iron head.
