Marking the flywheel/clutch for timing??....

The reason I bring it up is, I stopped by the airport and picked up some 100 low lead and I intend on trying a dose of 112 in the mix.... I have been harassing guys all day trying to get a scalp. I would like to kinda' know where I'm at asside from the MK-1 ear as I am moving my timing around... The MK-1 works but, still... I think if any of you guys have your engine out heads off, you bolt up the fly wheel and see if you can get a decnt mark on the F wheel... Add this mod to the "engine out check list"....
