To start with I have glue on Mirrors! Can't see a damn thing behind me! (Not safe) I've talked with Scott (SACC) about his reworked 2010 Camaro Mirrors. If you have seen his Video, they look to work well, and you CAN see what's behind and along side of you! Any thoughts? What Mirrors are you using? Any Photos?

Just thinking out loud, but I'm leaning on going with Scott's Mirrors! They do stick out a little, but I think they fallow the lines of the car! Again, safety first!

Hi Cuvee,

I had the same problem with not being able to see properly when changing lanes or behind me.

I installed Scott's mirrors on my 74 and liked them so much that I also installed them on my 72.

They do follow the lines on the car well and look like they are made for it.

Went with power mirror option as well.

PM me and I will send you pics when I get home from work.
Here is a picture of them on my car. As far as sticking out is concerned, compared to cars of the 70's, yes they stick out. Compared to any modern car, they look very common. All mirror's nowadays stick out. I love the way they look but love even more the ability to glance over and know that I can change lanes with 100% certainty that the lane is clear. Here is an option:

Not sure how to explain how to remove the mirrors you have without knowing how they're attached. If they are epoxied, can you remove any inside cover to see if the window was scratched up---let's hope not. The windows are tempered and difficult to break unless you mar the glass. You can try a hard plastic wedge or a putty knife with Gorilla tape on the glass surface side to protect it from scratches. Heat works with some adhesives but be careful, you can explode the window if it gets to hot/concentrated in one area.

Here is how I install window mirrors using a thin sheet metal plate installed on the mount that gets slid under the rubber on the bottom and front posts. The rubber does all the work---the tape keeps the mirror from sliding back out of the rubber window seal. No glass mars and they do not fall off.
